We are currently searching for aWelder

• Lead
• 1st Shift to be based out of Cartersville, GA.

Reporting to Welding Supervisor, this person will be responsiblefor welding aluminum cable trays, as well as providing directionand guidance to other welders in the department. The idealcandidate will have 3-years welding experience. Experience in leanmanufacturing or business system-based company is desired.

Whatyou’ll do:

Welder

• Lead’s responsibilities include, but are notlimited to:
• Direct and provide guidance to other welders in thedepartment
• Perform setup, adjustments and operation of weldingmachines within the department
• Ability to use basic fabricatingtools (i.e. tape measure)
• Interpret drawings and fabricate basedoff blueprints
• Fabricate per customer requirements adhering tospecifications
• Actively participate in Atkore’s safety program
• Cross train in different areas of the shop as required
• Ensure allprocesses are carried out with the required use of safety controlsand PPEReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individualswith disabilities to perform the essential functions. What you’ll bring:
• 3+ years welding experience
• Ability to read atape measure
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent (preferred)
• Ability to work 7:00am-3:30pm Monday-Friday
• Technical SchoolWelding Certificate (preferred)
• Ability to squat, bend and lift upto 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand and work a 10-hour shift in anon-climate-controlled manufacturing environment
• Must be willingto work overtime as needed

As of the date of this posting, a good faithestimate of the current pay for this position is $25.00/hour.

Placement in the range depends on several factors including, butnot limited to, specific competencies, relevant education,qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills,seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business ororganizational needs and may change over time. Other compensationmay include, but not limited to, overtime, shift differentials,bonuses, commissions, stock, and other incentives.
