TIG Welder Position Available In Chatham, Georgia

We are seeking a skilled TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) Welder to join our fabrication/manufacturing team. The TIG Welder will be responsible for precision welding on a variety of metal components, including stainless steel, aluminum, and other alloys. This role requires a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform TIG welding operations to join metal parts according to blueprints, technical drawings, or work orders. Prepare materials for welding, including cleaning, cutting, and fitting metal components. Inspect completed welds for structural soundness and compliance with specifications. Operate welding equipment, hand tools, grinders, and other fabrication tools. Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety protocols and procedures. Collaborate with engineers and fabrication team to resolve welding-related challenges. Ensure proper setup of welding machines and maintain equipment regularly. Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a TIG Welder (1-3+ years preferred). Certification in welding (e.g., AWS, ASME) is a plus. Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols. Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Familiarity with safety standards and PPE use in a welding environment. Physical stamina to stand, lift, bend, and work in various positions for extended periods. #SAVGA
