Welder and Fabricator

AAA IRON & FABRICATION 2517

Deans Bridge Road, Augusta, GA 30906

Responsibilities:
  • Perform various fabrication and welding tasks using plasma cutting, soldering, and other tools and techniques
  • Build and fabricate metal structures according to blueprints and specifications
  • Operate press brake machines to bend and shape metal components
  • Assemble fabricated parts to create finished products
  • Perform pipe threading and installation as needed
  • Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair equipment
  • Assist with ductwork installation and maintenance
  • Rig heavy materials and equipment as required
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a fabricator/welder or similar role
  • Proficient in plasma cutting, soldering, and other fabrication techniques
  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Familiarity with operating press brake machines
  • Knowledge of pipe threading methods and procedures
  • Mechanical aptitude for equipment troubleshooting and repair
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Physical strength and stamina to handle heavy materials and equipment

Summary As a Welder and Fabricator, you will be integral to our manufacturing operations, focusing on the fabrication and assembly of metal structures and components. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will utilize core skills such as blueprint reading and welding techniques, including MIG and TIG welding. Your expertise in pipe threading, ductwork, and mechanical knowledge will enhance our project efficiency. Additionally, your familiarity with power tools and fabrication processes will ensure high-quality results.
