Stainless Steel Structural Welder / Fitter -Baton Rouge, LA Evaluation Hire $25-30/hr Depending on Experience Mon-Thurs 8 am – 6 pm Express Employment Professionals, a full-service staffing and recruiting firm, is hiring for a Stainless Steel Welder / Fitter for a local client in East Baton Rouge. The ideal candidate should have 4G certification at a minimum with the Primary Process being Gas Shielded Flux core, and a secondary of TIG. Most work will be done on 304/316 Stainless Steel, but some will also be on Aluminum. Anyone with experience working in a Shipyard, tank, or vessel shop will fit right in. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, sketches, work orders, and material safety data sheets to plan layout, assembly, and welding operations. Lay out, position, and secure parts and assemblies according to engineering drawings, using straightedge, combination square, calipers, and ruler to ensure specifications are met. Design and construct templates and fixtures as needed, using hand tools. Welding components and assemblies, using Gas Shielded Flux core and TIG, to obtain liquid tight seam welds. Ability to weld in various positions, including overhead. EXPERIENCE and

EDUCATION

Minimum 4g certification. Combo hand preferred but willing to train to fit. Experience welding with Gas Shielded Flux and

TIG REQUIRED.

Experience Welding on 304/316 Stainless and Aluminum

REQUIRED.

Ship fitting, vessel welding, or tank welding experience

PREFERRED.

Experience Running CNC plasma tables is a

PLUS. PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Varying standing and sitting for extended periods throughout the day. Occasional lifting, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching. Exposure to varying environments including loud, hot, and smoke-filled areas
