JOB SUMMARY

The Frame Modifier is responsible for the dismantling andwelding of vehicles to prepare them for rebuild

ESSENTIAL JOBFUNCTIONS

• Remove OEM components from the vehicles cab
• Remove thecab
• Add multiple components to prepare the chassis for the bodyinstallation
• Move rear axles and shocks, replace front and rearsuspension
• Reinforce suspension to ensure the ability to maintainweight capacity
• Weld components and parts to ensure modificationspecifications
• Requisition parts and equipment as necessary.
• Liaisewith supervisor on problems to achieve efficient repair
• Maintain aclean and tidy work area
• Complete all documentation includinginspection sheets, certificates, and receipts applying signatures asappropriate
• Identify abnormalities and repairs required as result ofinternal actions and advise the supervisor accordingly
• Identify areasof process improvement, cost and waste reduction
• Work in an efficientand timely manner
• Undertake relevant training and development asrequired
• Carry out work orders within a realistic time line ensuringthat deadlines are met.
• Maintain cooperative working relationships,and demonstrate sensitivity to and respect for a diverse population
• Record all hours worked accurately

ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of the facility
• Receive deliveries
• Assist in the loading and unloading of cargo andmaterials.
• Adhere to and carry out existing work practices, proceduresand policies
• Maintain confidentiality and observe data protection andassociated guidelines where appropriate
• Understand and comply withsafety and environmental policies
• Other duties as assigned

• Parts Department as well as numerous levels of internal staffwithin a variety of departments
• Driver and delivery persons

EXPERIENCE

Minimum of 3 years? experience

EDUCATION

High SchoolDiploma or GED equivalent

CERTIFICATIONS

• Valid driver?s license
• Fork Truck certified
• Welding certification
• Experience and ability tobecome certified in crane operation

• Extended periods of sitting, standing, bending, squatting andkneeling
• Vision a minimum 20/40 with or without corrective lenses
• Good hearing
