Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Welder to join their manufacturing team in Bay Springs, MS. The Welder will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components according to blueprints, specifications, and quality standards. This role requires proficiency in various welding techniques, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.
Responsibilities:
Interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding specifications to determine project requirements.
Weld metal parts using various welding processes, including but not limited to SMAW (stick), GMAW (MIG), and FCAW.
Prepare metal surfaces for welding by cleaning, grinding, beveling, and fitting parts.
Inspect welds for accuracy, quality, and adherence to specifications.
Troubleshoot and resolve welding issues.
Maintain welding equipment in safe and operational condition.
Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines.
Collaborate with other production team members to ensure efficient workflow.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Welder, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in multiple welding processes (SMAW, GMAW, FCAW).
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols.
Strong understanding of welding techniques, materials, and safety procedures.
Excellent attention to detail and quality consciousness.
Ability to use hand and power tools effectively and safely.
Physical ability to perform the essential duties of the job, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Welding certifications are a plus.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $18.00 – $25.00 Per Hour
