  • Hours:
  • Mon-Thur 5:00 a.m.
  • 3:00 p.m. (Four 10-hour days)
  • Summary:
  • This position will perform a variety of tasks in the overall manufacturing process including abrasive blasting, painting, thermal zincing and assembly tasks
  • The use of a wide variety of hand, pneumatic, and electrical tools as well as the regular use of cranes, forklifts, pallet jacks, cutting torches, etc. will be required
  • This individual must perform all work in a safe and controlled manner while adhering to all safety and production policies and procedures
  • Working safely to prevent on-the-job injuries by following all Tandemloc, State, and Federal guidelines is required to include the use of proper approved personal protective equipment including but not limited to safety glasses, safety toed shoes, gloves, hearing protection, face shields, blast/paint suits, blast helmets, and respirators
  • Individuals utilizing respirators must pass pulmonary exams and have the ability to be clean shaven for safety reasons
  • This position reports directly to the Welding Manager.
  • Work Experience:
  • 2+ years’ experience in related position, preferred
  • Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Certification/Licenses:
  • None
  • Technical Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to read prints as well as have mechanical aptitude to use and understand measuring devices (i.e. calipers, tape measures, steel ruler)
  • Constant exposure to one or more elements typically found in a manufacturing setting such as noise, dust, heat, fumes or dirt. Work environment is not environmentally controlled to include very hot conditions in the summer months and limited heat in the winter
  • Individuals will be expected to be in uniform utilizing proper PPE in an environment that can be very dangerous, loud and repetitive
  • Must have the ability to focus and be attentive to safety and effectiveness
  • Must be able to work with limited supervision
  • Must be able to bend, twist and lift as much as 50 lbs. overhead safely
  • Must be able to do repetitive assembly tasks
  • Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to verbally convey counts, statuses, needs, etc. in a clear concise manner
  • Must be able to wear protective clothing, earplugs, safety glasses, respirators, etc. while performing many of the tasks
  • Must have the ability to be clean-shaven to meet safety standards.
