Welder/Fabricator Position Skills/Qualifications:

• MIG & TIGwelding, 5 years required
• Able to read blueprints
• Experiencewelding carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum, minimum 5 yearsrequired
• Fabrication experience, minimum 5 years required
• Ableto lift 75 lbs.
• Strong attention to detail

• Welding certificatepreferred

Job Description/Duties:

• Measure and mark work piecesusing straightedges, rules, and calipers
• Use measuringinstruments such as tape measure and calipers to inspect angles,grooves or gap allowances
• Cut and smooth metal components usingplasma cutters and portable grinders
• Read and interpretblueprints and production drawings in order to Client out a weldingproject
• Operate forklifts/pallet-jacks and use them in conveyingwork materials to welding site
• Collaborate with project managersand welding supervisors to ensure smooth work operations
• Maintainwelding safety guidelines and regulations to ensure a risk-freework environment
• Carry out welding according to set dimensions tomeet general test requirements
• Organize and clean weldingequipment on a regular basis
• Organize and clean welding boothdaily
• Monitor inventory level of materials to notify supervisorof stock shortage
• Weld materials in flat, horizontal, vertical,and overhead positions
• Assess weld quality and conformance tospecification
• Maintain a safe and clean work area
