Patch Weld 2.3 2.3 out of 5 stars 150 Intercraft Drive, Statesville, NC 28625 The Patch Weld Associate position is responsible for fitting and welding of steel parts using a MIG welding. The position communicates with co-workers, and maintains a safe, organized and clean work environment.
Essential Functions:
Read job specifications such as blueprints Determine the appropriate equipment and methods based on requirements Set up, adjust and operate equipment to fabricate parts to specifications Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety Ensure work is done safely, consistently and meets quality standards Monitor work equipment to ensure usage is within optimum temperature to avoid overheating or expansion Operate manual and semi-automatic welding equipment in vertical, horizontal, positions to weld structural metal to specifications Inspect weld surfaces and structure to ensure accuracy and discover flaws Tacks assemblies together Repair improperly welded pieces and fill holes Identify, tag and remove non-conforming materials Accurately complete all required paperwork in a timely manner Communicate with other departments as necessary Keep work areas clean and organized Adhere to all company rules and policies Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor
