Job Summary:
The Chassis Prep will do prep work (Installations/Welding/Fabrication) for the hoist mounting process and install certain components onto Truck Chassis.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Reviews the truck chassis with the model of the hoist to be mounted and plans out what steps are necessary to complete the installation. + Install some of the electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic components needed prior to the hoist mounting process. + Connects hydraulic hose from cylinder to oil tank + Inspects work before the truck is moved on in the process + Operate a handheld plasma, huck gun, torch, air drill, and chain drill as part of their everyday duties. + Operates a forklift to move components as needed. + Must be able to read a tape measure. + Have mechanical knowledge in truck parts installation. + Complete tasks while adhering to production schedules + Communicate any issues or quality concerns to department Supervisor + Ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards + Operates all tools and equipment safely. + Reports any safety issues immediately to the manager. + Performs other duties as assigned. Work Experience Requirements:
+ High school diploma or equivalent. + Proven ability to assemble based on written and verbal guidelines. + A minimum of six months experience in a manufacturing environment, with proficiency in using various measuring instruments. + 1+ years of mechanical experience. + 1+ years of welding experience. + Electrical Knowledge is a plus. + Understanding of manufacturing methods and procedures. + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. + Ability to maintain accurate records and perform basic mathematical operations. + Ability to follow instructions under limited supervision. + Refuse (Waste Truck) experience is preferred.
