I.SUMMARY
Performs wide range of welding/mechanical fabrication/repair work on NHDOT fleet equipment in the Welding Shop, Bureau of Mechanical Services.
YOUR EXPERIENCE COUNTS
Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and/or each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Associate’s degree from an accredited institute of higher education in a related mechanical trade.
Experience:
One year of experience as a welder. Each additional year of approved work experience as a welder may be substituted for one year of required formal education.
OREducation:
High school diploma or high school equivalency credential and completion of apprenticeship training (6,000 hours) as a welder.
Experience:
No experience.
License/Certification:
Must possess a valid driver’s license. Must possess a valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-B) with airbrake endorsement OR obtain such licensure prior to completion of the one (1) year probationary period.
