Overview
The Welder II uses Tig welding techniques and machines to fabricate or repair metal parts. This involves working from specifications and ensuring proper care of welding equipment.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate Tig welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products
Perform layout, cutting and welding work as required
Complete welding of components according to procedures
Arrange parts for welding and staging processes
Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications
Set up welding machines based on specifications of the job
Use specialized gas metal arc welding techniques and equipment to join pieces of metal together
Work from specifications, drawings, prints, and welding symbols
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
High School (High school diploma) or GED
Minimum of four (2) years of experience in manufacturing, technology, or aerospace and defense with the ability to set up welding machine for aluminum
Applicable experience in lieu of a Degree may be considered.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by either ITAR or EAR U.S. export laws. As a condition to this job offer, in order to be employed in this position, you must be able to obtain an U.S. Government export license(s), as required by law.
