Life Insurance Job Description:
Use hand-welding, flame-cutting, hand-soldering, or brazing equipment to weld or join metal components or to fill holes, indentations, or seams of fabricated metal products.
Responsibilities:
Load and unload anilox rollers into the grinding machine safely
Plan details of work order procedures
Gather required tools and materials based on instructions and specifications
Fabricate various items and equipment using cutting, burning and welding techniques and equipment
Monitor the welding, burning and fitting process to ensure parts are not overheated or damaged
Notify supervisor of faulty equipment or defective material
Operate and use overhead cranes safely
Education:
High School Experience:
12 months
Physical:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
Skills:
Understanding of welding machines and tools including design, uses, maintenance and repair
Understanding of metallurgy
Ability to weld components that are vertical, flat or overhead
Ability to read and listen to assignments given in a variety of forms
Basic understanding of mathematics as related to welding
Basic understanding and reading of blueprints Ability to review and understand mechanical blueprints
