Aluminum Welder Position Available In Charleston, South Carolina

Job Title:

Aluminum Welder Responsibilities Read and understand shop drawings on a job by job basis. Use our shop equipment to fabricate components as needed with focus on structural steel and TIG welding of Stainless and Aluminum. Specific on the job training is provided for each machine. Must be able to work with heavier material at times. (at least 50 lbs) Complete welding of prefabricated assemblies. Set up welding machines unassisted for any process or material thickness. Operate a variety of fabrication equipment, including plate rollers, saws, pipe rollers, and drill presses. Fabricate and weld complex assemblies from blueprints. Read and interpret blueprints. Essential Skills +2 years of TIG (GTAW) welding experience. Proficiency in GTAW welding processes. Experience with aluminum and stainless steel welding. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Experience in fabrication and fitting. Additional Skills & Qualifications Knowledge of operating various fabrication equipment such as plate rollers, saws, pipe rollers, and drill presses. Work Environment The work environment is a fabrication shop that is non-climate controlled. You will be working with various fabrication equipment and materials, ensuring a hands-on and dynamic workday. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $27.00 – $27.00/hr.
