Structural Fitters ($26-$30/hr) 3.8 3.8 out of 5 stars Hollywood, SC 29449 Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in working with sheet metal and welding, as well as a strong understanding of schematics. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to work with various tools and equipment to ensure precision in fitting components for assembly. Responsibilities Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Measure and cut sheet metal using power tools and hand tools. Assemble components using stick welding techniques and other welding methods. Use calipers and other measuring instruments to ensure accuracy in dimensions. Install fittings according to specifications. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety standards at all times. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects. Qualifications Proven experience in fabrication and structural fitting, particularly with sheet metal Proficiency in stick welding; additional welding certifications are a plus. Strong understanding of basic math principles for accurate measurements. Familiarity with operating power tools and rigging equipment safely. Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including schematics. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
