Needle Punch Fixer 3.3 3.3 out of 5 stars Gaffney, SC 29341 This position services and fixes breakdowns in the needle punch production area. This includes calibration of card machines, preventative maintenance etc. and is vital to keeping the machines up and running to meet production goals. Common tasks will include servicing machines on a regular basis, fixing minor breakdowns etc. 12 hour shifts 7am-7pm rotating days Essential Job Functions ? Comply with 6S and all other company policies, rules, and procedures at all times. ? Is aware of all company and customer quality concerns, ensures respect of auditing requirements in area and has responsibility/authority to stop non-conforming products and escalate to supervisor. ? Perform daily preventative maintenance on all machines in the needle punch area. ? Assist maintenance when machines have a major breakdown. ? Sand all needle punch looms, check oil levels on all needle punch machines, use grinder, perform minor welding, replace bearings/motors/belts/sensors as needed, tighten dilo chains etc. ? Log all statistical/maintenance data as requested. ? May have additional responsibilities if advised by supervisor. Qualifications ? Hold a high school diploma or GED ? Proficient in English, basic math skills and computer use ? Ability to multitask and work with little or no supervision ? Have excellent hand-eye coordination ? Ability to use tape measure/other measurement devices to take basic readings ? Ability to perform minor welding tasks ? Ability to give others clear instructions ? Ability to lift up to 50 pounds ? Ability to stand for long periods of time including walking/squatting/pushing/climbing ? May be subject to work with heavy machinery/high voltage/confined spaces
