Steel Fabricator/Welder DB Welding and Fabrication

Risley Rd, Columbia, SC 29223 DB Welding and Fabrication is a small, well-established steel fabrication shop specializing in high-quality structural, miscellaneous, and ornamental steel. We take pride in precision, craftsmanship, and customer satisfaction. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Steel Fabricator/Welder to join our team.
Position Overview:
The Steel Fabricator/Welder will be responsible for reading drawings, measuring and cutting materials, and performing high-quality welding and fabrication work. This role requires attention to detail, a strong understanding of metal fabrication practices, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a small team. This also includes on site fabrication & installation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate and assemble metal components according to specifications and drawings
- Perform MIG and/or TIG welding (Stick welding experience is a plus)
- Operate fabrication equipment such as saws, drills, grinders, and presses
- Inspect completed work for accuracy and structural integrity
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Support occasional on-site installation or repair projects
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in steel fabrication or welding
- Proficient in MIG welding; TIG or Stick welding experience is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
- Commitment to quality, safety, and efficiency
- Welding certification (preferred but not required)
