The Senior Promotions Manager is responsible for analyzing, interpreting and reporting insights to support the strategic and operating plans for the Pricing organization. They also will lead and guide their team to understand the path forward for the company for profitable promotions that drive customer loyalty and retention. The team member will work cross-functionally with all aspects of the Pricing Organization, eCommerce, Merchandising and Marketing. The scope of the responsibilities will span across the business (DIY and PRO) as well as channels (Stores and Online).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Provide objective and holistic view of the impact of all pricing actions at a customer level on the category financials. Identify and interpret short & long-term trends that weave into the pricing actions. This includes effectively communicating and translating the results into actionable business insights. Ability to provide fact-based analyses of customers behaviors and interactions with AAP pricing offerings across the AAP businesses including DIY and DIFM segments. Further differentiate and conduct the analysis across our channels – Online and Stores. Challenge and critically analyze pricing strategies across promotions and coupons in the light of customer behavior and response and routinely apply the knowledge to drive business forward. Understanding the profitability by Customer type, channel and geographic area, and other appropriate segmentation. Also includes understanding the mix/rate and volume impact of changes by customer segment Build and lead the team to undertake test and learn based measurements for pricing actions across promotions, coupons for DIY and other pricing levers for DIFM business Complete what-if scenarios and contingency planning analyses
