The Major League Baseball Streaming & Subscriptions team is looking for a Manager, Advertising Technology who is passionate about building, maintaining, and enhancing some of the most sophisticated advertising products and services in professional sports. MLB’s ad product library spans browser-based display and video products, iOS and Android apps, and dynamic ad insertion for linear streaming CTV platforms. A successful Manager will have a proven track record of managing ad product requirements in the creation of world-class advertising products. The role requires experience working “under the hood” with digital ads on web sites and apps. A solid understanding of digital ad workflows – and how product capabilities are operationalized will have you working side-by-side with both ad trafficking and yield and monetization teams. Integrating SDKs and APIs should be second nature. Testing, de-bugging, and troubleshooting with development teams, confirming ad products are properly integrated, and defining success criteria for ad product releases are a key part of the role. Responsibilities Work closely with ad product owners, engineers/developers, vendor representatives, content product owners, and sales executives to distill technical requirements into easily actionable user stories or specifications
Manage vendor relationships, Statement of Work creation, and invoicing issues
Work on projects from initial scoping to launch
Work with project managers and technical project managers to make sure internal and external project dependencies are properly tracked
Manage project communications across multiple initiatives, ensuring effective exchange of project information and deliverables to internal and external stakeholders
Identify, analyze, and communicate project risks
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to establish team velocity and release cycles
Track and record progress on multiple initiatives, provide status updates, identify key dependencies and blockers, and work to resolve issues as they arrive
Identify and communicate key performance indicators for your teams
Develop, maintain and effectively execute software development iterations throughout the life of your assigned projects, which defines activities, sequence, dependencies, work effort, duration and associated resource requirements Qualifications & Skills Experience with Google Ad Manager strongly preferred, including work with the Google GPT and IMA SDK libraries
Familiarity with Prebid/header bidding implementations and optimization
Familiarity with order management systems and ad trafficking workflows is preferred
Preferred experience liaising with software engineering teams (Web, Mobile App, Connected Devices etc.)
Preferred experience with Digital Advertising products and platforms, including live streaming products (Google Ad Manager, dynamic ad insertion platforms)
Demonstrable understanding of Web & Mobile App development
Preferred experience with data management platforms (Adobe), and identity solution providers
Experience with Engineering Projects
Familiarity with digital advertising Highest consideration given to candidates with publisher/sell-side experience who are familiar with live event digital ad insertion
Experience with Agile software development methodologies
Effectively communicates with both technical and non-technical participants
Enjoys understanding details and complex interactions and distilling them into their simplest components
Passionate about continually improving processes

Pay Range:
$85,000- $97,500 As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, skills and any other factors Major League Baseball (MLB) considers relevant to the hiring decision.
