7News is seeking an engaged and collaborative Promotions Manager with experience attracting viewers and strengthening a news brand across all platforms. As part of the Creative Services Department, the successful candidate has impressive skills in writing, producing, editing and directing. Shooting ability, a plus. This role focuses on executing promotional campaigns, managing branding initiatives, and increasing viewership through innovative marketing strategies. This position is ideal for a tech-savvy, creative thinker with a data-driven mindset and a deep understanding of audience engagement in today’s evolving media landscape
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Campaign Development:
Create and implement targeted and polished promotional campaigns across broadcast, digital, and social platforms. Identify audiences, craft compelling messaging, and optimize campaign strategies based on performance analytics.
Brand Management & Coordination:
Oversee branding efforts in collaboration with producers, videographers, editors, and voiceover artists to ensure consistently effective presentation of the 7News brand and community-driven initiatives across all promotional channels.
Cross-Platform Promotion:
Ensure promotional content effectively boosts engagement on-air, online, and across social channels, supporting overall station goals and reinforcing brand presence in the market. Use insights to refine messaging and improve outcomes.
Industry Awareness:
Stay current with trends in television marketing, advertising, viewer behavior, and competitive promotional strategies to keep campaigns fresh, relevant, and impactful. + Proven track record of successful campaign development and execution + Strong creative vision and storytelling skills + Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, video editing tools, and social media platforms + Exceptional organizational, communication, and project management skills + Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment + Willingness to lead an enthusiastic and collaborative team + 3+ years of leadership role in broadcast promotions, marketing, or creative services + Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field
Preferred Knowledge:
