The Chief Product Officer holds a key leadership position on theCIS Executive team at the Center for Internet Security. The ChiefProduct Officer (CPO) is responsible for developing and managing aCIS wide product portfolio consisting of CIS-developed andthird-party integrated software products and services. The CPO musthave a deep understanding of product development methodologies,emerging technologies, industry trends, agile practices, UX/UIdesign principles, and strong technical insight to make informeddecisions. The CPO will analyze market data, conduct financialevaluations, and have a keen sense of market dynamics to makedata-driven decisions. The CPO must be an effective leader capableof inspiring and motivating teams, setting a clear vision,fostering collaboration, and empowering team members to achievetheir full potential. Salary Range:
$260,000 -$320,000 incentive bonus We offer a competitive total rewardspackage at the Center for

Ensure thatthe portfolio harmonizes CIS products and services and accomplishesa balance between mission accomplishment and revenue growth Overseethe development of both near and long-range product strategies andliving roadmaps in an Agile product development environment. Ensurethese strategies and roadmaps align with CIS mission and strategicbusiness objectives. Lead and collaborate with cross-functionalteams to execute and track progress, adapt plans as needed to meetbusiness objectives. Using Lean Portfolio Management principles,collaborate with stakeholders to create and maintain a dynamicportfolio backlog that reflects changing market conditions andcustomer needs Develop, justify, and maintain business cases forthe product portfolio and individual products while effectivelymanaging approved budgets aligning strategy and execution Overseethe Product Management team across CIS, ensuring consistentapplication of Agile methodologies, processes, and productartifacts Mentor product managers and product owners to enhancetheir capabilities and performance, fostering a culture ofself-mastery and excellence Oversee the entire product developmentlifecycle, from ideation and prioritization through executionensuring timely delivery of high-quality products Identify marketopportunities, assess risks, and make informed decisions regardingproduct investments and resource allocation Continuously evaluateevolving technologies, market conditions, and customer feedback toinform strategic direction of products and services Maintain astrong focus on product quality and performance, ensuring adherenceto industry standards and best practices Build and nurture strongrelationships with key customers, stakeholders, and partners,gathering feedback to drive product improvements and enhancecustomer satisfaction Assist in building and leadinghigh-performing product teams, providing guidance, mentorship, andsupport to foster collaboration and innovation Establish keyperformance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track productperformance, customer satisfaction, and market success Foster aculture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement todrive product excellence Lead design and user interface effortsensuring products are intuitive, compliant, and provide a seamlessuser experience, resulting in high customer satisfaction andloyalty Collaborate and coordinate with various departments,including Marketing, Sales, Security Best Practices (SBP), andOperations to ensure effective communication, alignment, andcoordination Report on product performance to internal and externalstakeholders, including CIS senior management and the CIS Board ofDirectors Align with senior leadership on development ofdecision-making framework for product portfolio investments Managecomplex product and program budgets Other tasks andresponsibilities as assigned What Youll Need Bachelor’s degree inengineering (computer, software, or other engineering discipline)from an accredited college or university• 10 years’ experience in asenior product management leadership role in a technology-relatedfield 10 years’ experience in product engineering Strong experiencein product management, software development, and agile practicesExperience leading and managing in both direct-line and heavilymatrixed organizations Experience in strategic planning, riskmanagement, and change management Experience developing processesand procedures to drive product management maturity Experiencedeveloping and managing complex P&L’s, developing businesscases, pricing models, managing budgets, and demonstrated strongfinancial acumen Significant client-facing experience and excellentcommunication skills Solid organizational skills includingattention to detail and ability to multi-task The position is opento U.S. citizens and requires a favorably adjudicated DHS FitnessReview for Public Trust Positions Its a Plus if
You Have:
Advanceddegree in Business, Computer Science, or related field ManagedSecurity Service Provider (MSSP) and/or Cloud Service Provider(CSP) experience Strong presentation capabilities Strong workingknowledge of data analysis and performance metrics using businessmanagement and intelligence software (e.g., CRM, BI tools)•Additional years of relevant experience or a combination of anAssociate’s degree or equivalent and relevant experience may besubstituted for the Bachelor’s degree.
