Job description Director of Community Engagement and Development Community Engagement Build school recognition throughout the Jewish community through Weekly highlights and quarterly newsletters Attend community events Work and collaborate with the administrative team Manage social media accounts Update/monitor the school website Build and manage a volunteer database in collaboration with the office administration Alumni relations Build out alumni database Create opportunities for alumni to engage with the school (either through volunteering, mentoring, class presentation/projects, alumni events, donations, stories, etc.) Development Work alongside the Ways and Means VP on the Day School Board Oversee and run the annual campaign Oversee and run 2-3 smaller fundraising opportunities throughout the year with the Parent Association as determined by the board of directors. Identify and apply for grants that address school needs Build relationships with key donors and identify/cultivate new donors Collaborate with Birmingham Jewish Foundation •Reports directly to the
