Job Summary The Regional Director of Development – West & Southwest manages relationships with alumni, families, and friends across California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, and Arkansas, focusing on securing gifts of $100,000 or more. This individual plays a critical role in driving regional campaign success, serving as a lead fundraiser and ambassador for Tuskegee University in key national markets
This is a remote position with regular travel throughout the assigned region and to Tuskegee University.
Essential Job Duties Manage a portfolio of at least 100 major gift prospects
Execute 10-12 high-impact prospect interactions per month
Create tailored cultivation and solicitation strategies
Partner with advancement leadership and gift officers for coordinated donor outreach
Represent the university at regional alumni and donor events
Keep prospect activity current in the CRM system and contribute to campaign tracking
Qualifications (Education, Experience and Specialized Training) Bachelor’s degree required (any field)
At least 3 years of experience in fundraising, sales, communications, or marketing

Additional Desirable Qualifications:

Knowledge of Tuskegee University’s history, mission, and alumni community.
Understanding of advancement, fundraising, or alumni engagement processes.
Cultural competency and demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations.
Physical Demands Ability to operate standard office equipment Ability to walk short distances
Ability to lift and carry parcels, packages and other items
Ability to view a computer terminal
