Position Overview:

We are looking for a creative and outgoing Public Relations Representative to help promote and maintain a positive image for our organization. This role involves building relationships with media contacts, coordinating events, developing press materials, and engaging with the community. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a professional presence, and a passion for storytelling. Experience in public-facing roles is essential, and a background in tourism or hospitality is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and distribute press releases, media kits, and promotional materials Serve as the primary contact for media inquiries and coordinate interviews and press opportunities Plan and attend public events, community outreach efforts, and promotional activities Manage social media accounts and digital communications related to public engagement Build and maintain relationships with local partners, influencers, and tourism bureaus Monitor media coverage and compile press clippings and performance reports Represent the organization professionally at meetings, conferences, and trade shows Collaborate with internal departments to ensure consistent branding and messaging Assist with crisis communications and sensitive public relations matters as needed

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or related field preferred 1-3 years of experience in a public relations, marketing, or communications role Excellent written and verbal communication skills Comfortable speaking publicly and representing an organization in various settings Strong organizational and time management skills Proficient with social media platforms and basic graphic design tools Tourism or hospitality certification is a plus but not required Ability to travel locally for events and outreach Why Join Us?
