ROLE DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a Director of Marketing & Communications to lead the school’s promotional strategy while overseeing content creation, digital marketing, and brand consistency across all platforms. This role is responsible for public relations, visual storytelling, and messaging. The Director will collaborate with the Administrative Team, Board of Trustees, faculty, staff, families, and local businesses to lift brand recognition, attract new families, and advance the school’s mission.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Head of School, the Director of Marketing & Communications will provide leadership in the following areas: Develop a comprehensive marketing and communications plan that aligns with the Director of Development’s fundraising goals, supports the Parent Association’s efforts, and advances the school’s mission. Develop and manage the annual marketing and communications budget incollaboration with the Director of Finance & Operations to align resources with strategic priorities. Capture and produce photography and videography of school events, maintaining an organized and up-to-date content library for use across digital and print platforms. Manage and grow the school’s presence on social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn, with engaging, mission-aligned content. Oversee the school’s website through Webflow, ensuring timely updates, consistent messaging, and a user-friendly experience for current and prospective families. Cultivate strong working relationships with the Executive Leadership Team, Development Committee of the Board of Trustees, and Parent Association Leadership Team to advance the school’s marketing goals. Lead the development, design, and production of key publications including the annual report (Share the Spirit), the triannual magazine (Grand Connections), and the school yearbook. Create compelling content and design for digital and print materials that promote school programs, events, and initiatives. Oversee internal and external communications. Partner with the Executive Leadership Team to create targeted marketing materials, event promotions, and outreach communications that support enrollment and fundraising goals. Advance brand recognition by overseeing schoolwide signage, branded merchandise, and spirit wear for students, families, alumni, and faculty/staff.
SKILLS DESIRED
Social media management and campaign planning experience. Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (e.g., Photoshop, After Effects). Skilled photographer and videographer. Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
