The center offers more than 20 programs that foster opportunities to create positive, sustainable change on campus, in our communities, and around the world. Responsibilities The program coordinator is responsible for managing a wide range of research that focuses on the development and incorporation of leadership and service as vital parts of a liberal arts education. This position emphasizes the research and strategic direction of leadership development and community engagement programming and showcasing through evidence-based data and storytelling the impact of these programs on student development throughout and after the FSU experience. Engages in a portfolio that focuses on research, evaluation, data collection and dissemination related to service and leadership. Serves as the lead for the Division of Student Affairs for the Carnegie Community Engagement Elective Classification designation, works with faculty on community based participatory research initiatives, provide data requests from the Division of Student Affairs, the university strategic plan and the Center for Leadership & Service’s annual report. Researches, organizes, and delivers appropriate information via classes, programs, workshops, and/or presentations focused on appropriate data collection and dissemination for community engagement and leadership programs. Hosts partnership meetings that focus on collaborative partnership between the university and the community. Manages the nomination processes for awards recognitions through national professional associations, the Division of Student Affairs, and the annual Humanitarian of the Year awards. Supervises students on issues related to research and data collection and dissemination. Cultivates a partnership with and serves as the primary contact for the undergraduate research opportunity program. Serves as the overall administrator of the ServScript program. This includes vetting and updating non-profit organizations that are included into the larger database, providing campus wide trainings and presentations on the ServScript system and program, serves as the chair of the appeals committee and serves on the audit team. Serves on department, division, and campus-wide committees as assigned. Initiates and supports creative ideas to move the Center for Leadership & Service forward in its mission and vision, along with special projects as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and six years of experience. (

Preferred Qualifications An ideal candidate is someone who understands how to support faculty with community-based learning and has a working knowledge of community-based research. Master’s degree preferred. Experience in partnership development. Experience with applying for national awards and recognitions. Basic knowledge of data collection processes as it relates to community engagement work.
