DSA Internal & External Relations Manager Florida State University – 4.3 Tallahassee, FL Job Details Full-time $50,000 – $60,000 a year 21 hours ago Qualifications Writing skills Mid-level High school diploma or GED Driver’s License Bachelor’s degree 4 years Full Job Description Department Division of Student Affairs Responsibilities This position creates and evaluates opportunities related to community relations, council relations, student immersion, partnerships, and stewardship designed to promote and advance the Division of Student Affairs for both internal and external supporters. Administers, coordinates, executes, and provides strategic input on all activities related to community relations in the Division of Student Affairs, including the design, program development, fiscal management, and strategic direction. Engages with affinity groups, parents, friends, supporters and partners of the Division of Student Affairs. Responsible for planning and executing a comprehensive alumni and community development program in concert with the Division’s mission, fundraising goals, university-wide collaboration opportunities, and campaign initiatives. Monitors the success of community relations using a variety of metrics including, but not limited to, supporter and student participation, annual giving totals, and event attendance. Provides ongoing support for of all councils, committees, and advisory boards, including but not limited to the Student Affairs Development Council, LIFT Recovery Committee, Service Scholars Committee and other departmental/center/program related boards. Supports aspects of the programming, communication, and the implementation of initiatives developed by the various councils in consultation with the vice president, department chairs, and center directors. Provides strategic direction, administers, coordinates, and executes all activities related to student involvement in the Division of Student Affairs, including the design, program development, fiscal management, event management, and personal management of student entities (such as the FSU Student Foundation). Responsible for planning and executing comprehensive student programs in concert with the division’s mission. Monitors the success of student immersion using a variety of metrics including, but not limited to, student participation and event attendance. Develops content to highlight stories of graduates, parents, and friends of the Division in collaboration with the Division of Student Affairs Marketing Communications Office. Provides information to both internal and external stakeholders on opportunities for philanthropy and volunteer engagement in alignment with the Division’s mission through strategic communication. Adheres to established best practices in the management of Student Affairs data to assess existing outreach programs and initiatives. Utilizes data and metrics to guide decisions and strategies concerning community and student engagement. Employs industry standards and data to bolster the Division through new philanthropic and volunteer opportunities. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and four years’ experience in a related field or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to eight years. (
