Responsibilities:

Direct the association’s strategic marketing and communications efforts that include branding, strategic planning, internal and external communications, social media strategies, digital communications, public relations, cause-related marketing/sponsorship opportunities and association special event management. Ensure brand compliance and consistency of messages across all operating units by aligning key functions such as member engagement, program enrollment, philanthropic communications and staff relations. Collaborate within these areas to identify challenges and opportunities likely to impact the Y’s reputation and recommend communication solutions. Increase the visibility and enhance the positive image of the YMCA of the Treasure Coast in key marketing areas through efficient and effective application of a broad range of broadcast, print, interactive and internet social media tools, to creatively enhance volunteer, member, donor, employee, community, government and business outreach for marketing and public relations initiatives. Research, recommend and implement marketing strategies that drive the business of the organization, resulting in increased membership, program enrollment, donations and volunteerism. Oversee marketing research designed to strengthen the YMCA of the Treasure Coast’s market position. Identify, examine, integrate and maximize effectiveness of all communication processes to build strong and stable relationships with prospective and current members, staff, donors, and government, business and community leaders. Identify opportunities for cause-related marketing partnerships with local businesses and community organizations, generating sponsorship dollars and enhancing the association’s public image. Incorporate new technologies as they emerge to fully communicate the association’s messages.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of professional experience in marketing and communications. Ability to research, recommend and implement marketing strategies that drive the business of the Y, resulting in increased membership, program enrollment, donations and volunteerism. Ability to work independently and utilize initiative, ability to be organized and to meet deadlines. Good judgment and solid decision making skills; strong oral and written communication skills; excellent customer service skills; and an attitude of professionalism and respect. Ability to do public speaking and to represent the YMCA brand in a professional and appealing manner to all prospective donors, volunteers, staff and the community. Ability to interact well with all levels of members, staff, management, and Board of Directors. Ability to increase the visibility and enhance the positive image of the YMCA of the Treasure Coast in key interactive and internal social media tools, to creatively enhance volunteer, member, donor, employee, community, government and business outreach for marketing and public relations initiatives.
