Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Senior Vice President of Philanthropy, the Community Engagement Supervisor will support the Philanthropy Department in achieving its community engagement and volunteer goals. They will manage Camillus House’s volunteer and community engagement initiatives in a way that inspires and motivates both external and internal stakeholders of interest to action and participation in support of the organization’s mission. They will recommend and implement innovative ways to develop new constituencies of Camillus House supporters through community relations programs.

Responsibilities:
Develops year-long strategic volunteer engagement plan alongside Camillus House Leadership, Philanthropy team and community partners to include the general public, schools, corporate and professional volunteers. Creates key performance indicator metrics around volunteerism to be used in annual impact reporting. Identifies potential prospects within the volunteer program and creates a cultivation plan. Oversees the development of proposals and execution of Camillus House volunteer projects with external and internal stakeholders year-round to elevate the collective impact of engagement efforts. Liaises with external stakeholders, helping make the connection between their engagement in our community and the mission of Camillus House. Recruits, screens and suitably places volunteers, community servants, service-learning students and groups. Maintains and updates volunteer database to include volunteer records such as work logs, mailing lists and volunteer engagement. Develops and implements the organization’s Speaker’s Bureau program, soliciting speaking engagements and meeting requests for speakers from a pre-developed speakers’ pool. Recruits, trains and monitors speakers who represent the organization. Manages the Camillus House Young Leaders (CHYL) Program and Women of Camillus including executive committees; programming; and fundraising. Develops and implements effective marketing and outreach to engage local civic, religious, and professional groups. Works closely with Philanthropy staff and committees to assist in the planning and execution of the Camillus House year-long direct to consumer volunteer engagements, recognition, stewardship, and journey mapping plans. Works as a member of the Philanthropy team in support of team activities and the organization, to support overall fundraising, special events, logistics, corporate engagement, volunteer activations and other organizational objectives. Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.

Physical demands: While performing job duties, an employee is required to stand, walk, and use hands/fingers. May occasionally lift and move up to 25 lbs., clean (sit, bend/twist neck, bend/twist waist, squat, climb, balance, stoop, crouch, reach, handle, kneel, crawl, reach above/below shoulder height, repetitive movements, wipe, sweep, dust, mop). Specific vision abilities required by the position include close vision, color vision.
Work Environment :
The noise level of the work environment can range from low to moderate.
Work Schedule:
Full-time :
Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Ability to work a flexible work schedule (i.e., Evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call), as needed.
Requirements:
Ability to understand and practice the mission of Camillus House.
Education :
Bachelor’s degree in business, Sales, Marketing, or related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in fundraising or sales related setting
Language :
Proficiency in oral/written English; Spanish preferred; additional languages a plus (i.e., Creole).
Skills:
Proficiency in computer (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, other data collecting programs). Successful completion of Toxicology test, L2 and local background screening, and OIG. Valid FL Driver License with clean driving record.
