04/15/2025 Description The Director, College & Community Engagement (CCE) is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive marketing, public relations, and alumni relations strategies to enhance the College’s reputation, increase enrollment, and engage key stakeholders. This position works collaboratively with College employees from various departments for the timely and accurate production of flyers, ads, news releases, web pages, social media initiatives, brochures, advertisements, promotional items, and other materials to promote the College and its activities. The Director produces and places College advertising and publications utilizing various media channels such as digital/social media, print, radio, and video. This position manages the website and works with various individuals and departments to ensure that the College’s website is accurate and current. This position reports to the Associate Vice President, College & Community Engagement. Examples of Duties Strategically communicates mission, programs, and services for the College via digital advertising, social media, direct mail, print, radio, and video.
Designs and produces in-house media (print and electronic), including but not limited to digital media, posters, brochures, flyers, and videos. Manages the design and production of outsourced marketing materials.
Prepares, schedules, places/orders, and tracks ads across various media.
Maintains the College’s website, per the College Website Procedure, prompts departmental content review, and manages updates to copy, images, and announcements.
Manages the College’s social media accounts, including content development and curation, scheduling, and conversation monitoring.
Supports implementation of public relations strategies, including preparing and distributing news releases, writing for various publications and projects, preparing talking points/scripts, and tracking news.
Responsible for photographic and video documentation of College-related events and coordinates photo/video shoots and projects.
Assists with College-wide emergency communications.
Manages budget and is responsible for reviewing and approving requisitions and invoices.
Participates in strategic planning and annual planning/budgeting process.
Prepares artwork and purchases bulk promotional items for distribution.
Serves on the Recruit team (and is an administrator of Ellucian Recruit CRM software) to develop and maintain automated communications with prospective students through the inquiry to admissions phases.
Assists with the marketing, public relations, and alumni relations activities and responsibilities with regard to accreditation and reaffirmation.
Assists with the collection and dissemination of enrollment data; maintains knowledge of current enrollment trends and recruitment strategies.
Supervises the Manager, CCE.
Assists in all College recruitment & retention efforts as appropriate.
Required to attend Fall and Spring Graduation/Commencement ceremonies.

Three (3) years of marketing, public relations, social media, graphic design, and/or web design experience required.
