The American IV Association (AIVA) is a leading membership-based trade organization dedicated to advancing the standards, education, and practice of IV therapy nationwide. We serve as a supportive professional network, providing members with resources such as educational programs, industry certifications, community engagement opportunities, and advocacy efforts, empowering healthcare professionals with cutting-edge knowledge and tools to thrive.

Position Overview:

The Executive Director is responsible the overall management and administration of the Association’s operations, programs, staff. Working under the director of the AIVA Board of Directors, the Executive Director ensures the successful execution of the Association’s mission and strategic objectives. This role requires a dynamic and organized leader with a strong background in association management, planning and member relations. The role’s character qualities include a balance of leadership, strategic oversight, and hands-on involvement to drive the association’s mission and enhance its reputation as a leading trade resource in IV therapy. The American IV Association is based in Delray Beach, FL and this is a full-time position. The Executive Director must be available to work onsite, with the option for hybrid available and must be available to travel throughout the country as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Vision and Leadership:

Direct daily operations of the Association in alignment with Board policies and strategic plans Develop and execute AIVA’s strategic goals and operational objectives. Work collaboratively with staff members, committees, and the scientific advisory board to ensure alignment with the association’s mission and foster a productive and professional work environment. Serve as a thought leader as one of the public faces of AIVA, advocating for best practices and driving innovations in the IV therapy industry. Organize and manage monthly Board of Director meetings ensuring effective coordination, communication and reporting

Organizational & Member Engagement:

Lead membership development efforts including recruitment, retention and the delivery of member services and communication to ensure the successful retention and expansion of AIVA’s membership base. Oversee and support membership manager, addressing concerns, gathering feedback, and streamline initiatives to ensure exceptional member experiences. Facilitate community engagement through industry, member and association events, clinical training programs, webinars, and networking opportunities related to IV therapy.

Operational Oversight:

Manage the day-to-day business functions of AIVA, including budget development and allocation, financial oversight, vendor relations, and staff management. Direct marketing and outreach initiatives to boost brand awareness, member engagement, and event participation. Oversee the development and delivery of educational tools, member resources, and certification programs in collaboration with committees.

Stakeholder & Vendor Relationships:

Collaborate with founding members, corporate sponsors, partners, and key vendors to shape mutually beneficial relationships. Negotiate contracts and partnerships that enhance the value of AIVA’s offerings. Network with industry leaders to promote AIVA’s influence and standards.

Advocacy and Public Relations:

Represent AIVA in public forums; maintain strong relationships with media and strategic partners Advocate for public education and awareness about IV therapy benefits and establish AIVA as an industry authority. Monitor legislative updates and regulatory issues affecting members to lead advocacy efforts in collaboration with the Board.

Qualifications:
Experience:

Senior management experience leading membership-based trade organizations or similar nonprofits. Demonstrated success in delegation, business leadership, executive reporting, and overseeing cross-functional teams. Experience directly interacting with key vendors, sponsors, or partners to nurture strategic relationships. Expertise in delegating tasks and creating efficient organizational structures. Strong understanding of the unique challenges faced by wellness industry professionals and IV hydration therapy service providers. Ability to forecast and innovate to adapt to industry shifts.

Skills:

Exceptional verbal and written communication, networking, and public speaking skills. Strong planning and project management abilities. Proficiency in using modern tools and platforms to manage financial data, CRM systems, and member engagement.

Additional Expectations:

Ability to represent AIVA as a face in the community while presenting at conferences, webinars, and networking events. Availability for domestic travel to attend meetings, industry events, and conferences. A results-driven mindset with the ability to work both on the business and in the business. Why Join Us?
