$700/week (July 7-August 1) + $150 flat rate for July 1 pre-program event (10:00 AM-3:00 PM)

Monday-Thursday, 8:00 AM-3:00 PM About KR8TIV Justice KR8TIV Justice is a nonprofit dedicated to empowering youth through filmmaking, journalism, and storytelling. We provide media education and creative opportunities to underserved youth, helping them grow as critical thinkers, confident leaders, and agents of change. About NextGen News NextGen News is our summer crash course in journalism for high school students. Over four weeks, youth scholars learn the fundamentals of reporting, interviewing, media ethics, and multimedia storytelling—all while producing stories that matter to their community. About the Role KR8TIV Justice is hiring a creative and detail-oriented Social Media Manager to join our NextGen News summer program. You’ll be responsible for telling the story of the program in real time—highlighting the voices of youth journalists, capturing authentic moments, and building excitement online. This is a short-term contract opportunity with the potential for future creative collaborations as our programs grow. Key Responsibilities Create and post daily content (photos, short videos, graphics) across Instagram, Facebook, and other platforms Capture behind-the-scenes moments , student highlights, and special events in real-time Manage and grow KR8TIV Justice’s online presence during the program Collaborate with instructors and youth journalists to amplify their work Help promote the final showcase event through engaging social media storytelling Ensure all content aligns with KR8TIV Justice’s mission, tone, and values Qualifications Experience managing social media for a brand, nonprofit, or creative project Strong skills in photography and video Ability to write short, engaging captions that reflect brand voice Comfortable working with youth and capturing candid, respectful content Organized, self-directed, and able to manage daily deadlines Why Join Us?
