days ago The Coordinator, Community Engagement, is a full-time, non-exemption position reporting to the Executive Director to support Rays and Rowdies programming.
Duties and Responsibilities
Initiate and maintain constant communication and excellent business relations with all Rays and Rowdies community partners
Responsible for the execution of Rowdies game-day activations, including but not limited to the following: Community Corner, Saturday’s Superstar, School Supply Drives, Disaster Relief Drives, and various other activations as needed
Manage all aspects of the Scores for Stories educational program from start to finish, including but not limited to: coordinating prizes with various Rowdies departments, ensuring proper promotion of the program, scheduling reading events with local community partners, securing players for reading events, and ensuring the program meets the needs of library partners and school partners
Plan, promote, and execute the annual 9/11 Stair Climb event, in partnership with various internal and external partners
Coordinate various Soccer Clinics in conjunction with Rays and Rowdies local nonprofit partners
Provide support for all Rays Baseball Foundation & Rowdies Soccer Fund and Community Engagement programs and events, including but not limited to Casino Night, Play Ball initiatives, Reading with the Rays, Team Smile and other marquee event gatherings as needed
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College/University
Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant work experience
Knowledge of the USL Championship and/or global soccer
Demonstrate a winning attitude and a strong work ethic in the performance of all job responsibilities
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to create and maintain solid working relationships at all levels across the organization and externally, particularly with community and corporate partners
Takes initiative to complete tasks above the expected standards
Excellent attention to detail and an ability to produce high quality, accurate work within designated deadlines
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and coordinate with individual internal and external stakeholders to fulfill all contractual obligations
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Superb verbal and written communications skills
Self-motivated, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, coachable and sense of urgency
Must be able to work flexible hours including game days and nights as needed
