The Mindful Prof is a leader in mindfulness-based leadership and wellness programs, helping organizations and communities build resilience, engagement, and well-being. Our services span corporate training, wellness events, and individual coaching, serving both B2B and B2C markets. As we grow our impact across Central Florida, we are looking for a dynamic individual to drive community engagement, marketing, and business development.
Role Overview:
As Manager of Community Wellness, Engagement & Growth, you will be the face and force behind our expansion in Central Florida. You’ll lead local marketing efforts, support new business development, represent The Mindful Prof at regional chamber and industry events, nurture key partnerships, and oversee wellness programs and events. This director-level role blends strategic vision with hands-on leadership—making you a builder, connector, and champion of wellness in the region.
Key Responsibilities:
Local Community & Client Engagement Build and deepen partnerships with businesses, schools, community organizations, and wellness leaders. Identify opportunities for earned media, sponsorships, and public speaking to position The Mindful Prof as a wellness leader in Central Florida Act as primary relationship manager for key clients and partners, ensuring exceptional service and engagement. Lead local outreach and networking to enhance The Mindful Prof’s brand and visibility. Co-develop and execute local marketing strategies, including digital campaigns, event promotions, social media, and community partnerships. Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to produce compelling content and marketing collateral. Manage Local Programs & Events Plan, coordinate, and oversee wellness workshops, mindfulness sessions, and community events. Manage logistics, budgets, schedules, and post-event evaluation. Ensure programs reflect company values and meet community needs. Support Business Development Collaborate with our VP of Business Development to identify and pursue new business opportunities with local organizations, employers, and community partners. Create and deliver presentations, proposals, and pitches to secure new clients & partnerships and expand services. Track and analyze business development efforts, reporting on key performance metrics and growth opportunities to our VP of Business Develop and Senior Leadership team Wellness Team Collaboration Lead, mentor, and support a team of wellness coaches, ensuring high-quality delivery and ongoing professional development. Oversee onboarding, scheduling, and ongoing communication with coaches and clients.
Qualifications:
3+ years’ experience in marketing, business development, community engagement, or wellness program leadership. Strong event planning, project management, and organizational skills. Proven ability to build and maintain business and community partnerships. Track record in marketing execution includes digital and social media campaigns, as well as local brand building. Experience managing client relationships in a health, wellness, or education setting preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to diverse audiences. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, CRM systems, and social media platforms. Creative, strategic thinker with a passion for wellness and community impact.
Compensation & Benefits:
$28-32 per hour, commensurate with experience Part-time with potential for expanded hours and responsibilities as the business grows This position is primarily remote and based within the Tampa-Orlando area. However, it does require in-person availability for client meetings, community events, and occasional onsite engagements as needed.
