Community Relations Specialist (3-6 Month Assignment) 3.0 3.0 out of 5 stars 1735 North Brown Road, Lawrenceville, GA 30043 Overview We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Communication Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective communication strategies that enhance our brand presence and engage our target audience. This role requires a blend of creativity, analytical thinking, and strong writing skills to produce compelling content across various platforms. The Communication Specialist will play a vital role in public relations, social media management, and internal communications. Primary responsibilities:

Creating craveable, meaningful content via email newsletters, intranet, social media, video, etc. Producing exciting volunteer events for our employees, customers and partners Executing special ad-hoc projects to support the team As a member of Lendmark’s Support Lendmark Corporate Communications team across a variety of Climb to Cure campaign activities and ad-hoc tasks to drive employee participation and meet or exceed this year’s $2.1M fundraising goal. Lendmark Financial Services Write engaging Climb to Cure campaign content – including CURE mission highlights, fundraising tips, and employee spotlights – for all Lendmark internal and external channels, as appropriate, including Lendmark Engage intranet, LinkedIn and Glassdoor. Ensure all work/copy/content is top quality, proofread, and error-free. Design engaging graphics via Canva to be used in internal and external communications. Partner/communicate with leaders, subject matter experts, and vendor partners to write effective, relatable copy. Partner with Climb to Cure campaign chair, internal campaign ambassadors, and other stakeholders to promote campaign and keep content fresh. Assist with the companywide roll-out of CSR platform, Benevity Spark, and help implement internal initiatives to encourage adoption among Lendmark employees. Assist the team with planning of key Climb to Cure campaign events, ensuring inspirational and informative programming. Assist with the expansion of Lendmark’s CSR program and stay abreast of key CSR trends and best practices to support expansion efforts. Manage calendars/schedules to ensure we meet or exceed all deadlines. Ensure all content reflects brand guidelines, accurate voice and style, and adheres to legal and security considerations; edit content to adhere with online editorial standards. Ensure all messaging is on target and consistent with the department/organization’s objectives and vision. Nature and Scope Position reports to Community Relations Manager. No responsibility for direct report. • Limited travel required – less than 5% of time. Qualifications Knowledge of corporate giving and volunteerism programs. Prior experience with enterprise-wide corporate social responsibility platforms (e.g., Benevity Spark) Prior experience working with nonprofit organizations in a fundraising, development, and/or volunteer management capacity a plus. Prior experience planning and executing special events. • Must have experience in writing headlines/copy for varied channels, plus proofing and editing experience according to AP style guide. Requires knowledge, skills, and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor’s degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job. Knowledge of principles of photography, design, video creation, copywriting, and editing a plus. Knowledge and experience with social media platform management and social publishing software a plus. Knowledge of basic marketing and advertising practices would be helpful. 1-3+ years’ experience preferred. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Competencies Strong writing, grammar, punctuation, and spelling skills. Ability to write for different channels (online, print, web, blog, events, signage), audiences (executive, employee, community), and multiple styles (business, casual, etc). High-level project management skills. Adept in conducting and serving as administrative support for executives for video conferencing and webinars. High-level competency in Microsoft Office suite (e.g., Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc). Knowledge and experience with social media platform management and social publishing software a plus. Adobe skills a plus.
