Overview
BRYC seeks a passionate and creative communications manager to join our team. As a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering youth through community engagement, we are looking for an individual who can bring innovation and energy to our communications efforts.
Duties
Social Media Management
Develop and implement a social media strategy to engage our audience across various platforms
Create and curate engaging content including photos, videos, and graphics
Maintain a content calendar to ensure consistent and timely posting
Monitor and respond to comments and messages in a timely manner
Photography & Videography
Capture high-quality photos and videos at all BRYC events and everyday moments
Edit and retouch photos/videos with a quick turnaround for use in various communications channels
Collaborate with the team to create compelling visual stories that showcase the impact of our programs and initiatives
Graphic Design
Utilize Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) to design visually appealing materials for print and digital use
Create graphics for social media, website, email newsletters, event promotions, and fundraising campaigns
Ensure all designs adhere to BRYC’s branding guidelines and communicate our mission and values
Program Communications
Communicate effectively with and for BRYC’s internal audiences, which includes sending mass messages to BRYC’s Fellows, Guardians, and volunteers and maintaining the BRYCDOWN, BRYC’s intranet of news and resources
Create program materials, from Google Slide presentations to special event fliers
Facilitate effective communication within the organization, as needed
Public Relations
Assist in developing and implementing PR strategies to raise awareness of BRYC’s mission and programs
Draft press releases, media pitches, and other communications materials as needed
Cultivate relationships with media contacts and coordinate media coverage of events and initiatives

Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in communications, graphic design, advertising, public relations, or related field.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
Proficiency in Google Suite
Strong photography and videography skills, with experience in editing software
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
