The National WWII Museum is currently seeking a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Marketing Manager. The CRM Marketing Manager is responsible for executing The National WWII Museum’s email marketing program, ensuring all campaigns are strategically planned, timely, accurate, and impactful. This role manages the email content calendar, collaborates with the Communications team on messaging direction, builds and tests HTML email proofs, and oversees the review, approval, and deployment process. Additionally, the CRM Marketing Manager maintains email list integrity through effective database management and segmentation. Reporting to the Associate Vice President (AVP) of Marketing, this position works closely with the Marketing team and other departments to drive visitor and donor engagement, support institutional priorities, and optimize performance through testing and data analysis.

Requirements:

Manage the schedule and ensure the successful delivery of all Museum email communications, including building and designing emails, ensuring the timely and effective completion of copy writing, routing draft emails for approvals, proofing/editing emails for Museum style and clarity, and deploying emails to targeted audiences. Work with the AVP of Marketing along with the Visitor Services and Sales teams to develop e-Communications targeting online ticket purchasers before and after their Museum visit in order to increase ticket up-sells, better prepare visitors for their experience, and convert visitors to Museum supporters/program participants. Collaborate with the Institutional Advancement team to develop and deploy donor-focused email communications that support fundraising campaigns, stewardship efforts, and ongoing donor engagement, ensuring message alignment across channels and touchpoints. Partner with other departments such as Retail, Travel, and Education & Access to create targeted email campaigns that promote programs, merchandise, and experiences, helping to expand audience reach, drive participation, and support departmental goals. Conduct A/B testing and performance analysis to optimize email effectiveness in collaboration with the Director of Marketing Strategy. Serve as the primary stakeholder for the marketing team’s customer relationship management (CRM) systems—currently Blackbaud Convio Luminate—maximizing platform capabilities to enhance email performance, list segmentation, data integrity, and overall digital engagement. Maintain email list hygiene and ensure segmentation aligns with Museum goals. Develop and implement strategies for growing the Museum’s email list, improving open and click-through rates, and using other digital communication methods like SMS. Manage schedule and creation/delivery of assets for Museum messaging on digital signage through the Museum campus and Higgins Hotel. Collaborate with Associate Vice President of Marketing and Associate Vice President of Web Development and Strategy to identify opportunities to make improvements to team’s use of content management, customer relationship management, database, and ticket purchasing systems. Undertake other projects as assigned by supervisors. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, web design, or related field, or equivalent experience 2

  • 4 years of experience in email marketing or digital communications Knowledge of basic web technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript Familiarity with email design best practices Experience using email platforms (such as MailChimp, Blackbaud Convio Luminate, or similar) Experience working with content management and customer relationship management systems Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Collaborative, proactive, and highly organized Basic familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and/or digital signage systems is a plus.

Good judgment, discretion, and ability to maintain a high level of professionalism Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with multiple constituencies As needed, be willing to work a flexible schedule that may extend outside of the typical 40-hour work week, including weekends and evenings, to complete tasks and meet deadlines Ability to push, pull, and lift weights up to 20 pounds. May require prolonged sitting, standing and/or walking while objects are transported. May require bending, squatting, or reaching and occasional use of equipment.
