Cambridge, MA About the Job The role reports to the Head GlobalMedical Rare Diseases. Our Medical Affairs function serves as a keystrategic partner with commercial, regulatory, clinical, and marketaccess on therapeutic solutions to support patients’ needs. Withinthe Global Medical Affairs Rare, we are proud to support Sanofi’scommitment to breaking barriers through groundbreaking science tosignificantly improve the health and lives of people with rareconditions around the world. The Global Medical Head of Hemophiliawill play a key role within the Hemophilia Franchise at an excitingtime, supporting Hemophilia product launch preparation andexecution of Global Medical Affairs tactics. The person will managea team of global medical directors responsible for designing andexecuting medical strategic plans and evidence generation, medicaleducation, and scientific communication activities in thehemophilia space in support of a portfolio that contains factor andnon factor products. The role will also support alliancerelationships and humanitarian activities related to hemophiliaworldwide. Managing internal and external relationships within areaof responsibility and supporting the pull through in medicalstrategy from global to local, ensuring alignment and supportingthe countries is a key component of the role. Main Responsibilities:

A summary ofresponsibilities include:

  • Works in close partnership with theGlobal Medical hemophila Leads to execute and evolve programs andtactics as a liaison between the global medical hemophilia team andcross-functional partners; he/she will manage programs in aninnovative, digital, and effective way
  • Provides input andleadership to life-cycle management strategy consistent withstrategic objectives for the product. Identifies needs for highvalue medical affairs driven studies and registries, oversees theirmanagement and execution in accordance with established budgets andtimelines.
  • Establishes a strong network within Medical Affairs(Global, Regional, local) and with key partners such as R D,Clinical Sciences & Operations, HEVA/RWE, Commercial, Regulatoryand Access teams
  • Shares critical insights and helps ensurepull-through into strategic and tactical plans
  • Supports sharingof best practices between priority countries and others, andparticipates in training efforts for medical and cross-functionalteams
  • Ensures the delivery of high-quality, fair-balanced,scientifically/clinically accurate medical deliverables inaccordance with core scientific messages, established timelines,compliance guidelines/policies, and budgets, in collaboration withScientific Communication partner (including core slide decks,evidence-based scientific platform, disease awareness medicalmaterials, manuscript and congress abstract drafts).
  • Ensures apatient-centric approach to the development and execution ofprojects under his/her accountability
  • Adheres strictly tocompliance rules, regulatory, access and ethical requirements AboutYou Experience
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in industry Medicalor R D, with solid track record of achievement in MedicalAffairs in the biotech/pharma industry
  • Suitable prior experiencein a medical role; experience within hemophilia field would beadvantageous
  • Experience working in an international multi-countrysetting is definitely a plus
  • Prior experience working in anAlliance with external partner(s) is a plus Soft skills

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in industry Medical or R D, withsolid track record of achievement in Medical Affairs in thebiotech/pharma industry
  • Suitable prior experience in a medicalrole; experience within hemophilia field would be advantageous
  • Experience working in an international multi-country setting isdefinitely a plus
