Account Coordinators play an important role on the team by providing support to various clients. Your day will be comprised of activities such as administrative tasks, writing news releases, media advisories, social media, pitching stories, research and tracking client information. IMG has a hybrid work model. This Account Coordinator position will be based in our downtown Boston office and be eligible to work remotely two days each week.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Regularly monitor news outlets relevant to clientele and send coverage Provide administrative support to various account teams, which includes drafting agendas, taking notes on client calls, formatting documents, creating monthly memos, and setting up meetings Gain experience in media relations through drafting pitches, press releases, briefing books, media advisories, media lists and more Help action items move forward by monitoring client communication and responding or redirecting to appropriate personnel as needed to maintain client relationships and satisfaction Draft social media content as needed Support teams as needed in crisis communications

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

Ideally, 1 year of professional experience in a communications environment and/or previous agency experience Excellent writing and editing skills General knowledge of the news media landscape Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills; ability to communicate effectively while working remotely or in person Ability to execute multiple tasks with minimal supervision while maintaining confidentiality Strong work ethic, enthusiastic attitude, and proactive nature Excellent interpersonal skills with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset Comfortability with speaking and presenting to clients Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) We hire candidates who are smart, determined and bring something new to the table.
