The medical school within the university is seeking a Social Media Manager who can strategize on campaigns, and create original content. This role is 40 hours / week, fully remote, and a 6 month contract. If all goes well, there is a chance for extension or a full-time conversion. Prior ownership of social media strategy and hands-on social media activation for higher ed and/or medical institutions is required. (…not content creation, mind you, they have video, design and copy resources you’d leverage.) The Social Media Manager / Strategist’s responsibilities:
- Taking lead on generating content, but working with team members (content, design, video) to collaborate to produce the content
- You’ll be a key person leading that through the strategy, creation and posting on channels
- You’ll be asked to handle content calendars, assigning, reporting, and optimizations to campaigns
- Must an intimate knowledge in platforms, understand what content works in what platform, know what makes great content shine, while tracking and supporting through the lifecycle of the content
- Take initiative to support already written student stories, create new, and posting those stories
- Having abilities to handle the measurements and have an eye for analytics Skills and background:
- Proven ability and portfolio showcasing content creation capabilities and strategic campaign execution
- Platforms, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram (Deep experience and understanding)
- Programs to have strong or general skills in: Adobe Suite, Canva, CapCut, Sprout Social (or similar), Asana (or similar)
- Interested to tap into new platforms like (TikTok, Blue Sky)
- Experience helping to drive cohesive calendars, handling multiple audiences like: admissions, recruiting, alumni audiences
- Experience being the point person to help bring it all together while working with different teams In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data, including medical data.
