This position requires knowledge of District procedures and policies, the ability to assume responsibility, work effectively and independently under pressure and maintain confidentiality.

The Executive Team:

Chief Executive Officer, Chief Development Officer and Principal Responsibilities Administrative Manage calendars, communication, and travel logistics for the CEO and CDO. Coordinate and prepare materials for Board meetings and leadership events. Serve as a liaison to board members and key external partners. Draft and proofread communications, presentations, and internal documents. Maintain donor databases and track gifts and communications. Prepare donor correspondence, reports, submissions and recognition materials. Support event planning, direct mailings, and campaign logistics. Assist with development communications and the annual report. Volunteer & Mentor Program Coordination Lead recruitment, onboarding, and placement of mentors and volunteers. Maintain compliance records, including background checks and training completion. Collaborate with staff to align volunteer placements with student needs. Manage volunteer appreciation efforts and ongoing communications Skills 3+ years of experience in administrative support, project coordination, or development. Excellent people skills with frequent interaction with others, building relationships, and fostering collaboration. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks independently. Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with Google Workspace, Excel, Constant Contact, and social media platforms, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software tools and technologies. Experience with donor/volunteer database systems preferred Basic accounting principles preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience). Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required. Occasional travel within the Kansas City metro area. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting and computer use Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. School calendar schedule with reduced summer hours

Job Type:
Full-time Pay:

$19.00 – $22.00 per hour Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
