The Department of Professional Counseling at Webster University celebrates the opportunity to enhance mental health access through cultivating a network of strategic partnerships. Funded by the CCGF, the position of Community Liaison/Communications and Partnership Coordinator has emerged to amplify the connections between our program and community partners—empowering us to lift the health and well-being of marginalized populations in our community. This role will prioritize building robust communications and nurturing relationship-based approaches to connect with agencies that serve diverse client needs. The position will focus on disseminating information regarding all the wonderful happenings in the department, ensuring community stakeholders are informed and engaged. This is a 3-year position with annual contract renewal at the discretion of the Department of Professional Counseling, contingent upon funding and departmental needs.

Webster Groves Campus-WEBG Minimum Qualifications
Preferred Master’s degree in Counseling, Communication, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a strong emphasis on partnership development.
Experience in building relationships within community settings and navigating multi-sector collaborations.
Experience in event planning and management, including logistics and execution.
Proven problem-solving skills and adaptability in dynamic environments.
Continuously seek to identify viable partnerships and stay informed on best practices to deliver relevant, culturally responsive community initiatives.
Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance communication skills and cultural competence.
Exemplify high personal standards of excellence and foster inclusivity and respect in all professional interactions.
Maintain effective, ongoing communication with the clinical director and department to align community engagement efforts with program objectives.
Preferred Qualifications
Proven experience in community outreach and communications, particularly in a mental health context.
Experience with event planning and production
Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Missouri or another state.
Strong organizational and prioritization skills alongside effective leadership capabilities.
Familiarity with managing electronic databases and community programs.
