This position is responsible for managing all aspects of media relations, public relations, and internal communications. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in journalism and public relations, with exceptional writing and editing skills, to effectively communicate our organization’s mission and initiatives. Duties Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies that align with organizational goals. Write, edit, and distribute press releases, articles, and other communications materials to promote organizational initiatives. Manage media relations by building and maintaining relationships with journalists and media outlets. Oversee social media management to enhance the organization’s online presence and engagement. Conduct research to identify trends in communication best practices and audience preferences. Proofread all communications materials to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to brand guidelines. Collaborate with various departments to gather information for internal communications and ensure consistent messaging across platforms. Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels to promote understanding of organizational objectives. Qualifications Proven experience in media relations, journalism, or public relations. Exceptional writing skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives for diverse audiences. Strong editing skills with keen attention to detail for proofreading communications materials. Experience in social media management and digital communication strategies. Ability to conduct thorough research and analyze data to inform communication strategies. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across various channels. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong sense of initiative.
