The Internal Communication and Engagement Analyst plays a crucial role in fostering effective communication within an organization and ensuring that employees are engaged, informed, and aligned with the company’s goals, values, and culture. This role often works closely within the People team, with leadership teams, and department heads to ensure clear, consistent, and transparent communication across various internal platforms. Working from DP World Americas Regional Headquarters in Charlotte, NC, the position holder will be part of the regional Talent Management and Development team and will be tasked with developing and executing strategies for the optimization of regional/country-level communications and engagement programs and resources that align with AMR Regional and Local Communications partners. The position holder will be tasked with improving the flow of communication that is targeted to staff and partners related to people initiatives, as well as measurement and KPI development to create and support a continuous improvement culture in a matrixed organization. The successful candidate will strive to update and improve the technical aspects of the region’s communications infrastructure tools, channels, and employee contact lists, as well as collaborating across AMR and country-level teams on the creation of guidelines and protocols to support effective and timely communication. In addition, the position holder will design and drive initiatives that enhance employee engagement and workplace culture. This will include organizing events and team building activities, and partnering with leadership teams to create a culture of collaboration and connection. They will also develop and manage employee feedback systems, including surveys and focus groups, to assess engagement levels and sentiment.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Proactive crafting of people storylines and internal thought leadership themes Initiation of coordinated internal and external employee advocacy programs. A KPI based approach to promoting the DP World brand internally, building trust and protecting our reputation. Foster greater collaboration between regional, country-level and Group internal communications colleagues as well as key stakeholders. Oversees content production and provide leadership to develop innovative strategies for delivering effective and engaging employee communications. Design and implement initiatives to boost employee engagement, morale, and satisfaction. Collaborate with People team to create engagement programs that encourage employee participation in surveys, events, or feedback initiatives. Monitor engagement metrics (e.g., pulse surveys, feedback, or participation rates) and work with leadership to address areas of concern. Oversee communications tools, such as employee People newsletter, Internal page, memos, viva engage and other people regional channels. Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Americas region and throughout the DP World organization to ensure materials accurately reflect the company’s positioning, messaging, and strategic goals. Contributes to key People communications and is responsible for the content and writing, including People Leadership presentations Collaborate with social media experts across the organization to identify opportunities to raise awareness of the company’s employee value proposition. Collaborates with People Leadership to support communications in developing company-wide announcements, team tools, recruiting presentations and senior management messages that reflect the voice and values of the Leadership Team. Tracks progress including engagement with key messages. Solicits feedback on communications effectiveness, measures message absorption and intranet analytics and takes steps to adjust messages or channels as needed (e.g., focus groups and pulse checks)

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing or another writing-related field Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar communications or employee engagement role Ability to work full-time from the Americas HQ location with up to 10% travel Experience with HR Communications, Employee Value Proposition Campaigns, Employee Advocacy Programs, Employee Experience and/or HR Transformation Initiatives Outstanding writing, editing, and proof-reading skills; with diligence and proactivity in validating facts Proven communicator with demonstrated track record of creating impactful content for various communications mediums such as print, digital and social channels Experience working with/managing internal/social media is preferred A flexible individual who is willing to roll up their sleeves and get work done
