REMC:

leading strategic communicationinitiatives, cultivating media relationships, and managinghigh-profile public events. You’ll work across departments todeliver clear, consistent, and engaging messaging that reflects ourvalues and amplifies our mission. Whether you’re crafting acompelling story, responding to media inquiries, or organizing acommunity outreach program, no two days are the same. KeyResponsibilities Serve as REMC’s spokesperson and primary mediacontact. Plan and implement public relations campaigns andcommunity outreach initiatives. Create high-quality content fornewsletters, press releases, videos, graphics, and social media.

Manage vendor relationships and ensure brand consistency acrossplatforms. Lead efforts for our youth programs, charitablecampaigns, and civic engagement. Organize and emcee communityevents and represent REMC at local functions. Collaborate withinternal departments to align messaging and strategic goals.

Support emergency communications and real-time media responsesduring outages or weather events. What We’re Looking For Bachelor’sdegree in communications, journalism, public relations, or arelated field. 10 years of relevant experience preferred-especiallyin media relations, community engagement, or electric utilityenvironments is preferred. Strong writing, editing, and publicspeaking skills. Proficiency in digital media tools, videoproduction, and graphic design software is preferred. Outgoingpersonality with the ability to connect and build relationships.

Willingness to travel locally and attend events beyond regularhours when needed. A team player with creative energy and strategicthinking.
