The ideal candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills, experience in social media management, and a passion for storytelling and community-building. This role involves managing direct communication with our customers, fans, and retail partners, as well as executing consistent, on-brand messaging across multiple platforms. TOTYM is a new plush toy and trading card game brand inspired by mythical creatures and ancient legends, brought to life in a cute, collectible style. We engage directly with our fans through storytelling, community-building, and immersive world design. As a small team, we pride ourselves on creative independence, fast and accurate customer service, high-quality product development, and memorable brand experiences. If you’re excited by the idea of helping shape a brand’s voice and growing a fanbase from the ground up, we want you on our team! This is a multi-functional position with room to grow and take ownership of this department. You’ll have the opportunity to help shape the voice of the TOTYM brand, manage our community platforms, and be the connective thread between fans, customers, partners, and collaborators. Remote work is not available for this position. Applicants must either be local to the Triangle area of North Carolina or willing to relocate. This is a long-term, in-person position with room for growth. Responsibilities Customer Communication & Order Management Respond to customer inquiries via email with clarity and professionalism Generate shipping labels for online orders Social Media & Content Management Plan, create, and schedule content across Instagram, TikTok, Discord, X, and Bluesky Write short-form copy and announcements aligned with TOTYM’s brand voice Community Engagement & Brand Growth Engage with the community through comments, messages, and replies Manage and moderate the official TOTYM Discord server Post regular brand updates and progress reports to fans Coordinate outreach and follow-ups with content creators, podcast hosts, and affiliate partners Public Relations & Event Support Assist with outreach and communications with retail stores and small business buyers Send invoices and manage small order fulfillment communication Travel to events, conventions, or local shows as a brand representative Required Skills Strong written communication across email, social media, and Discord Short-form writing skills for captions, updates, and announcements Verbal communication for in-person events, outreach, and calls Consistency in maintaining a professional and friendly brand voice Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to work independently in a fast-paced small team environment General interest in storytelling, creature design, mythology, plushies, or trading card games Social media management and content creation Experience with tools like Discord, Instagram, TikTok, and email platforms Photography and photo editing for product shots, behind-the-scenes content, or lifestyle imagery Videography and short-form video creation and editing (TikTok, Reels, YouTube Shorts) Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator, or other similar design tools Our Culture At TOTYM, you won’t be a faceless part of a corporate machine; you’ll be a key voice of the brand.
