Business Communications Manager
Your role and responsibilities
The Internal Communications Leader is responsible for executing ABB’s internal communications to sup-port local divisions, business areas, country, and group communications in the United States. The individual will work with the Chief Holding Officer and multiple stakeholders to manage concurrent internal employee initiatives, share expertise, and produce a strategic outcome for ABB.
This role is open to remote candidates (#LI-Remote) or Hybrid if in Cary, NC or Atlanta, GA.
You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Executing ABB’s internal communications initiatives to support local divisions, business areas, country, and group communications in the United States.
  • Providing strategic counsel to US Chief Holding Officer (CHO) and functional leadership to execute important communications for US employees, including special initiatives such as integrity and government contracting requirements.
  • Partnering with the CHO to develop integrated communications plan to promote “employer of choice” messaging in the United States and encourage ABB retention.
  • Managing a content calendar with the information provided by global businesses to ensure a seam-less experience for US employees.
  • Measuring performance and ensuring effectiveness of internal communications channels.

Qualifications for the role
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Advertising, PR, Communications, Journalism, or a related field
Minimum of 10+ years’ experience in internal communications
Strong writing skills and the ability to copy-edit
Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
Excellent analytical and time-management skills
Strong project management skills with an ability to work on multiple projects concurrently
Ability to transform complex technical information into easily understood copy preferred.
Excellence at building professional relationships preferred.
Experience working with B2B companies, engineering, technology, sustainability or energy preferred.
Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
