Overview Reporting to the Executive Director of System Communications, this position collaborates to set, guide and oversee the communication strategy, planning, development, production, and distribution of Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center internal communications. It is responsible for day-to-day communications activities throughout DHMC, including crisis management. This individual will work collaboratively with leadership throughout Dartmouth Health to ensure cross-functional collaboration for generating communication plans and materials. Responsibilities
1. Develop and execute a comprehensive internal communications strategy that engages, informs and motivates employees.
2. Create and manage internal communications channels for relevant stakeholder groups and collaborate with the Dartmouth Health Communications Team to ensure alignment and consistency with other Dartmouth Health members. Articulate organizational priorities through appropriate messaging and content via internal communication venues including intranet, newsletters, digital vehicles, video and email.
3. Ensure consistent brand voice through the use of Language of Care messaging platform, and the maintenance of brand integrity across all internal messaging platforms throughout Dartmouth
4. Maximize the reach of all traditional and non-traditional messaging, targeted to internal
5. Partner with the Executive Director and Media Relations team to be responsible for organizational response to crisis communications, issues management at DHMC.
6. Generate content for intranet communications, employee-focused publications, and other internal tools and platforms.
7. Collaborate closely with Internal Communications Manager, Employee Communications Manager and Executive Director System Communications, manage DHMC editorial calendar and story list, and ensure timely coverage of programs, initiatives, events and features/pro?les of patients, employees and physicians, and the
8. Partner with the content team to advance DHMC stories throughout system communication channels.
9. Oversee all communications measurement, support relevant dashboards and reports, analyze impact and results and make recommendations to build engagement.
10. Lead freelance writing and editorial sta? as needed.
11. Serve as a trusted advisor to DHMC leadership on internal communications issues, and collaborate on advising DH leadership as well.

- Bachelor degree in related field of study required; Master level degree preferred.
- 8 years of directly related experience, inclusive of at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Adept at driving and managing change.
- Ability to build relationship with people from diverse areas of the organization as well as external contacts.
- Excellent skills in managing, motivating and support people and building a cohesive team.
- Strong decision maker with excellent presence.
- Understanding of healthcare trends, communications and marketing strategies, financing, and provision of care and health care delivery systems.
- Ability to keep multiple projects moving forward simultaneously in a successful manner.
- Ability to develop systems and consistently bring plans to life.
- Expert oral and written communications skills. Proven experience in working with and advising people in high-level position on communication opportunities and issues.
- Proven expertise as both a strategic thinker and a project manage with a keen ability to synchronize the two.
- Demonstrative ability to direct outside business partners and service providers.
