The SNHUconnect Community Moderator is aremote student worker position that supports the SNHUconnect onlinecommunity-a space designed to create a sense of belonging for SNHUstudents. This role is key to helping students feel welcomed andsupported in our virtual community. Moderators serve as positiverole models and provide quality engagement by maintaining awelcoming environment, ensuring content aligns with communityguidelines, and helping foster SNHU spirit and connection. This position also supports the Office of Student Involvement ingeneral, and employees may participate in special projects asassigned. Our student employees are essential in helping us buildcommunity and supporting others finding a sense of belonging atSNHU.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor activity within SNHUconnect spaces to ensure allcontent adheres to community guidelines and university values. Review and manage flagged posts for appropriate follow-up orescalation. Welcome new students to the community and help guide themthrough their first touch points in SNHUconnect. Assist with creating engaging content to promote studentengagement in the SNHU Spirit space. Assist with general community upkeep by archiving outdatedposts. Collaborate with other moderators and staff to ensure aconsistent and supportive experience for all users. Attend virtual trainings, check-ins, and team meetings asrequired. Perform other duties as assigned.
Expectations:
Provide thoughtful, inclusive, and supportive interactions inall community engagements. Maintain a consistent presence in SNHUconnect throughoutscheduled shifts. Exhibit strong written communication skills and a professionaltone when representing the university. Show initiative and be self-motivated while working remotelyand independently. Promote a safe and respectful community space for all SNHUstudents.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be an active SNHU student and eligible for work study. Must be able to work either remotely or in-person and commit upto 20 hours per week. Must maintain a strong academic standing and demonstratereliability in a remote work environment.

CompensationThe hourly pay range for this position is $12.00 -$15.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications,experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant businessconsiderations.
