238 State St, Portsmouth, NH Are you passionate about crafting and looking for an exciting opportunity to manage a local craft store? Darn Good Yarn is seeking a highly creative and independent store manager for our Portsmouth location (with a love for social media)! This is your chance to bring your crafting skills and entrepreneurial spirit to our brand, with plenty of autonomy and room to grow.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management :

Oversee stock levels, track inventory in Shopify, and work with the team to reorder as needed.

Sales & Community Outreach :

Develop and execute creative strategies to drive foot traffic, partnering with local businesses and leveraging community programs in Portsmouth.

Social Media Management :

Engage with our audience on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok to promote store events, sales, and product offerings.

Crafting Classes :

Coordinate fiber art classes, including crochet, knitting, and weaving. Ideally, you’ll also lead kids’ art classes.

Customer Engagement :

Foster a welcoming, fun environment where customers love to shop and learn.

Qualifications:

Crafting Expertise :

A background in fiber arts (crochet, knitting, weaving, etc.) is a big plus, as is the ability to teach or assist with classes.

Tech-Savvy :

Experience using Shopify for inventory management, and comfortable with Slack and other tools for remote team communication.

Creative & Independent :

You will be responsible for driving store sales, and we expect you to take ownership and bring innovative ideas to the table.

Social Media Skills :

Ability to craft engaging content and reach into the community to bring more people into the shop.

Community-Focused :

Passion for working with local programs and collaborating with other small businesses.
